Is Dreamweavers Days Numbered?

Are the days of designing a website with dreamweaver numbered? This is something that I've begun to wonder, as more people are switching to blog software and content management systems.

Most of this new software can be edited with a simple text editor, thereby eliminating the need for programs like Dreamweaver or Frontpage. Personally I think this is going to happen, yet professional web designers will continue to use these programs to create more robust websites.

Today we can find great templates for Wordpress that really do make a site look professional, yet understanding how to modify them, making them unique is not for the average or new web master to accomplish.

Although there are great templates coming out everyday, it is still much easier to design a site and take care of all the SEO (Search Engine Optimization) items that you'll need to with programs like Dreamweaver or Frontpage.

Of course the alternative is to high a professional designer  and have them design your template, which is not a bad way to go. Or you can take a good template that you like and have them modify it as well.

Anyway you look at it today, you must have an online presence! This site uses a template, designed by Brian Gardner, he's designed some very good templates that have really raised the bar for the other designers.
