Google Buzz VS Twitter Both Or Neither?

Anyone who is building a home business today via the internet wants more traffic to their websites.
Yet, most people today are running either a blog or some other CMS content management system that already allows interaction.
So when bringing in social media into the mix do we need it? And, if we do need it, which one should we choose?
Are there any pro's and con's between them?
Google's Buzz recently came out and there where lots of people screaming about the privacy issues. Which Google promptly addressed!
And, then there is Twitter, which has its own issues, when it comes to privacy.
On Twitter anyone can see who you're following and who's following you, so much for privacy!
Now Buzz, does give me the ability to hide who I'm following and who is following me.
Unless they happen to make a comment or like one of the posts or thoughts I've written about.
When it comes to interaction it is still to early to tell with Google's Buzz, yet the platform in my opinion and experience when compared with twitter is Buzz will allow far more interaction than Twitter...
...So far my twitter experience as someone who is not only in network marketing, and actively blogs about it, is that twitter has turned out to be a cesspool!
One of the reasons is, there are so many twitter tools out there it makes it to easy to auto-follow anyone on any subject they write about.
On the surface this sounds good, but what you end up with is hundreds of new followers who are going to give you the secrets to network marketing success.
The one that really gets me going is if I write about SEO on that website, I'll have dozens of followers who promptly send me a direct message stating how they can get my site into the top 10 on Google.
If they took just a few minutes, they would see that I'm already there, and on Yahoo and on Bing...
I like Titter I do get some good news every now and then. Yet, when your trying to build your home business, twitter really does fall into one of those distractions that you absolutely must turn off.
And, if you really want to see whether you're reaching people just ask a question.
The problem is you'll have to send that tweet out dozens of times, simply because it gets lost in the noise. And, as most can attest to you'll seldom if ever get a response back.
Which when you really look at twitter, has become nothing more than a never ending stream of advertisements (generally all the same, just different people) vs any form of social communications platform.
In the late 90's early 2000, we had e-mail spammers, today we have "twammers!"
While Google Buzz, does seem as though it will offer more interaction, yet on the other hand, if it is pulling posts from your blog or CMS is it really necessary?
The one advantage I can see in Buzz, is that you can pull in all your various sites feeds. This makes it easier for your visitors to find and read everything in one spot.
So back to the question do we need either one to be successful or can we simply live without either Google Buzz or Twitter?

Hi Glenn! I agree with you when it comes to twitter. A great idea on the surface but no real value. Everyone is a robot. I remember posting a question in the past few weeks, but to date...no response...
The question is how do we tweet effectively?
