When it comes to implementing collateral marketing into your home business, we need to first look at what our companies provide for us or where we can find material to use for this purpose.
We also need to determine is this going to be online or offline marketing? One of the more difficult things to learn about collateral marketing is how to determine the right marketing piece for your target market.
The actual marketing collateral piece can have wildly different results depending on the where and how it is presented. For example I once took the same, collateral marketing material placed it on two websites with almost identical traffic daily.
While both sites, seemed like a good candidate for this material one site outperformed the other about twenty-five to one. Now that is a huge difference, and it all came down to not delivering the correct material to a particular target audience.
In order to determine if you have the right marketing material, you have to track. Not only do you have to track how many request you get for this material but also the conversion rate. Of course the conversion rate will be based upon your individual closing skills.
