Is It The Quality or Quanity of Traffic To Your Home Business Site?

Not a day goes by that I don't receive an email from someone offering what they consider the best traffic generation techniques.

No doubt some are quite good, yet the vast majority of them are outright schemes. No doubt if you're trying to build a home business and have a web presence you've received these offers as well.

We all want traffic to our sites, any business wants to have lots of customer walking through their doors. And with this holiday season, I'm sure many business are praying that it happens.

There are distinct difference between a home business and a traditional business with a fixed location.

In a traditional business they rely on local advertising or their location provides them with the necessary foot traffic of interested shoppers.

While those of us who are running a home business seldom have people walking through our front door with the goal of buying one of our products.

In fact the majority of us are more likely to fall into the category of a window shopper with no commitment to buy anything. If we have a web presence we need to capture their attentions quickly or we are gone within seconds.

With so many individuals are using social media today, are they are using the scatter gun approach marketing? Follow as many people as you can, get them to follow you, then each of you advertise to the other?
