Perfect Home Office
May 30, 2008

Creating the perfect home office for your business should be high on your priority list. As we become organized, by its very nature we become far more efficient. Here I'm going to give some of the information that I've had to learn the hard way over the years.
Considerations for your office: One of the first considerations in a home office is where is it going to be located. Many of us just do not have a spare bedroom or den to use for our office space.
The place we do choose should be well lit, comfortable and cool. We will be bringing in equipment that at times will generate quite a lot of heat. If we live in a cool climate this could be very welcome.
If your like me and live in the desert of Nevada, well lets just say most of the time it is down right hot. This makes the equipment we choose all that more important.
Just some of the equipment will we need for our office:
A comfortable Desk and Chair. Filing cabinets. A computer Desktop or Laptop. Internet Access. Printers and Fax Machine. Telephone System. Postal Mail Equipment. Storage space for Products.
These are just a few of the items you should be thinking of as you are getting setup for your home based business.
In choosing our location, proper lighting plays an important role. I know the older I get the less eye strain I can tolerate. Improper lighting can produce eye strain leading to fatigue and headaches.
When we think of lighting go green in your home office, remember those lights our going to generate heat. No one wants to work in a place where they are either to hot or to cold.
The cost savings alone not to mention what you are doing for the environment are worth the extra time in researching proper lighting.
In our office, the choice of computers and operating systems can make a difference as well. Lets face it some of them generate way to much heat.
