What Is In A Business Name?

Choosing a name can be difficult, as you’ll not only want to make sure that it is not already taken, and the domain name is available.

When choosing a name for your home based business, have you really thought what does that name really say about my business? What does the name say about me personally?

All of this is very important in the eyes of your potential customers and should you fail your future employer. What we may think is a great name could conjure up negative connotations in the minds of your customers.

Here is an example of one that uses the term Renegade in it’s name, what may come to mind is:

A person who deserts and betrays an organization, country, or set of principles.
Having treacherously changed allegiance.
Traitor
Defector
Deserter
Turncoat
Rebel
Mutineer
Treacherous
Traitorous
Disloyal
Treasonous
Mutinous

As you can see would you want to do business with this person or organization? A business name can say a lot about you and just what kind of person you are, so choose wisely and do your research into the meaning.

Selecting Five to Ten good names, checking to ensure that the domain name is available.

Take these names and present them to your friends and family, get their response to each name.
